Our History

The Texas Self Storage Association (TSSA) stands as the largest self-storage organization within the state, boasting over 35 years of dedicated service to self-storage owners and operators across Texas. Established in 1986, TSSA was created to foster opportunities for industry professionals to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and cultivate a stronger, more innovative self-storage sector.

What We Do

The association's unwavering commitment to its mission has driven sustained growth and industry advancement. TSSA regularly hosts high-caliber educational events throughout the year, including its prominent annual conference and trade show held each fall—considered one of the premier events in the field. Currently, TSSA membership encompasses more than 4,000 facilities across Texas and neighboring states. As the organization expands, it maintains a focus on providing personalized support, ongoing education, and networking opportunities, adhering to the core principles established by its founders in 1986.
